2008 Convention Artbook |

Every year the Calgary Expo produces an exclusive convention artbook featuring many of our guest artists. This collectible artbook is unique to our event, and you can only get it at the show! Each artist is asked to contribute a piece of art with a Western theme (for Calgary!), in any medium they choose, from watercolor, to pencil, to digital. If there’s a piece that you’re a really big fan of, you can also bid on the original art in our Live Charity Auction. Artists are asked to donate the original as a way to support our charity of choice, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Calgary. Our 2008 edition will be a beautiful 9” x 12” hardcover with a full color interior featuring a collection of over 35 incredible artists! And they’ll all be at the Expo to sign your copy. There will be a limited print run of only 800 copies. A portion of the proceeds sold at the Expo goes to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Calgary. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Calgary is a charitable organization that offers programs and activities to enrich the lives of more than 43,000 children, youth and their families each year.

In our second year, every aspect of the Calgary Expo experienced tremendous growth, including the artbook! Our ‘07 edition more than doubled in contributors and featured over 35 artists. This coil bound book was also wrapped with a gorgeous cover by Clayton Crain, Bruce Timm, and Bobby Chiu. Limited to 1,000 copies with full color and monochrome pieces. 2007 Artbook available for purchase! |

The Calgary Expo’s inaugural year was a big experiment, and the artbook was no different! 18 artists graciously donated their time and skills to producing this book. This coil bound book was limited to only 500 copies, and was produced using three color schemes, black, brown, and blue, and featured an amazing cover design by Alberto Ruiz, which eventually became the Calgary Expo’s official logo! 2006 Artbook available for purchase! |
