James "Jimmy" Palmiotti is well known in the comic industry as an inker and writer. He graduated from the High School of Art and Design in New York City and in 1991 started working for Marvel. With longtime collaborator Joe Quesada, Palmiotti co-created Ash and Painkiller Jane, the latter which was adapted into a movie and TV series on the Sci- Fi Channel. At Marvel Comics Palmiotti and Quesada were also the driving forces behind the Marvel Knights line.
He also has extensive writing credits ranging from Hawkman, The Monolith, 21 Down, Beautiful Killer, The Resistence, The Twilight Experiment and Back to Brooklyn. Currently he is writing Jonah Hex and Power Girl.
His video game writing includes The Punisher and Ghost Rider, which he co-wrote with current Garth Ennis. Palmiotti also worked on the game Mortal Combat Vs. DC Universe. He has written for the television shows, Speed Racer and Painkiller Jane and for the DVD release Dead Space: Downfall.
