Ian Boothby is a comic book writer, comedian and improv artist. In the comics field he is best known for his work on Simpsons Comics and Futurama Comics for Matt Groening's Bongo Comics. Boothby has written more Simpsons Comics than any other writer.
Boothby won an Eisner for best short story for ‘Murder He Wrote’ in The Simpsons' Treehouse of Horror #14.
Boothby currently performs with the Canadian Comedy Award winning sketch group Canadian Content and the Canadian Comedy Award losing improv group Urban Improv. Canadian Content has released two sketch comedy albums, Canuxspoitation and I'm Sorry, both on itunes. He also appeared in the Adam Sandler film Happy Gilmore.
For television he has worked on the specials Scary Godmother: The Revenge of Jimmy and Casper’s Haunted Christmas. He has also written episodes of Casper’s Scare School and The 11th Hour.
