Whilce Portacio
Hardcore comic fans will remember Whilce as one of the founding seven members of Image Comics back in 1992 where be launched his creatorowned Wetworks title after leaving Marvel's Uncanny X-men. Wetworks is once again on the shelves with new stories, published through Wildstorm, and Whilce provided the art on the first six issues and continues to do the covers. He also worked on the new Batman Confidential series.
All of this current work is made even more remarkable considering that in 2000 Whilce slipped into a diabetic coma for four days, and it took six months before things went back to normal.
