Jo Chen
Jo Chen was born in Taipei, Taiwan and moved to the United States in 1994. She’s been working in the Asian comic book industry since she was 14, and came onto the American scene in 2000. Her first American work was Wildstorm’s Racer X mini-series. She started doing covers and interiors for Darkminds Macropolis, Battle of the Planets, Robotech, Fight For Tomorrow, Taskmaster, The Demon, Thor, and Robin.
The covers she was doing for Marvel’s Runaways and the “power foil” variants for Udon’s Street Fighter comics thrust her into the spotlight. Jo’s currently the cover artist on Joss Whedon’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 8 comic series.
Jo Chen’s also produced artwork for Xbox’s Fable game, Final Fantasy and Tomb Raider covers for Playstation Magazine.
